Tanya Horne
Tanya Horne is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (#3279) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.
Life can become overwhelming, stressful and anxiety producing at times. The good news, you do not have to do this alone. Having someone to share your worries with can help alleviate your anxiety, lift depression, settle your nerves and help you navigate your experiences with a newfound confidence.
I am a therapist who has dedicated my life to assisting individuals with their life struggles. I understand what it is like to feel lost and like your life is in turmoil. My own exploration and lived experiences have allowed me to gain insights, knowledge and understanding of dealing with depression, suicidal ideation, major generalized anxiety, agoraphobia, and sexual and physical abuse cycles. I know that healing and change are possible.
My goal is to create a safe environment where clients can explore a deeper understanding of themselves, cultivate new skills and create the positive changes they envision for themselves.
Areas of counselling expertise
- Trauma (childhood neglect, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, loss)
- Depression (Suicidal ideation, agoraphobia, feeling stuck, loss of interest in life)

Personal qualities / strengths as a counsellor
I consider myself dynamic in my approach to building our counselling relationship, bringing my humanity and empathy into our sessions together.
